Thanks to all that supported Sunken Cheek and Hunted Down on our tour. Our eyes are open and our minds are now full. The closest horizon does not show as many live performances as some downtime is needed to recollect and focus. There are a few releases in the works however and time will be spent on closely related low-key projects for awhile.

In Public View

Torn Light has officially released Sunken Cheek's 7" EP. 2 songs on black vinyl, housed in silk-screened jackets, large newsprint poster included, strictly limited to 300 copies. This release is just a taste of what this label has to offer the future. Acquire one along with the crushing new Rectal Hygienics LP h e r e.

In support of the release of this record, Sunken Cheek will be accompanying friends and local hardcore champions Hunted Down on their midwest tour of the US. Below are details thus far of confirmed dates, updates will follow. Keep your ears to the ground.

On Feb.8th, 2013 Syracuse welcomes The Whip:

-A side of the upcoming Sunken Cheek EP on Torn Light will be performed at an extended length. This will also be Japanese Furnace's 2nd live effort. Pray for us all.
-All upcoming releases still in production, with hope and luck some will begin to appear in March.
-Currently there are still some copies of Thirty Atonements available and an official press of the Pusdrainer split c30 has arrived. $6 ppd for any titles to updateplz@yahoo.com

-A new one page zine entitled Blink is also available at upcoming live events and free with any tape order.

Halloween in Syracuse, NY has an unexpected event this year: the final show at Badlands. As a result of a series of events directing negative attention towards us, we're forced to close our doors at the end of this month. Badlands has been a home for the majority of Sunken Cheek performances in Syracuse, including the very first one. I helped run this small room with a handful of friends and like-minded individuals. We stayed afloat for 2 years and put on dozens of shows and events, some that are already unforgettable. We kept it affordable, accessible, versatile, and punk.
In one last blast of energy we offer a free show on Halloween night featuring some of the staple acts and volunteers that kept Badlands alive. Hopefully we'll take up residence elsewhere or begin anew. Punk always finds a way.
